Take a look at Ryder’s 1 year baseball birthday bash that was full of vintage baseball classics like crackers jacks and wooden bats.
Ryder’s 1st year birthday was one for the books! It was so special seeing all the people who love him gathered in one place to celebrate his special day. Even though he is 14 months now (time flies!), after gathering together the photos and compiling links, I am finally posting a recap!
DESSERT TABLE
Okay so I love throwing get togethers and parties at our house, and this party was no exception! This dessert table was definitely the centerpiece of the party and helped set the “theme”. For the decor, I got the balloons from party city and used balloon garland strips from amazon to make the garland. Luckily my friend Morgan came over and helped me out with the balloon arches, as sometimes that can take a while. I got the wooden carts from Hobby Lobby as well as the buckets that were holding the utensils. A fun detail was the cherry candies in a big glass jar, it definitely was a throwback to my childhood eating those!
For the dessert items I grabbed an Italian Cream cake from central market and got some red icing to make the baseball design myself. I wish I would have gotten a small separate cake for Ryder to smash into, but ya live and ya learn, he enjoyed eating this one too. The cookies were from my high school cheer coach, she did such an amazing job at making them “vintage” baseball themed. She has a BEAUTIFUL cookie business if you are DFW and local for amazing cookies.
For the snacks, I had glass cokes, cracker jacks, popcorn in brown boxes. I added some peanuts to a big glass jar to make the baseball theme feel complete. The popcorn and cracker jacks were such an easy way to make the table feel bright and full.

NACHO BAR
We used our coffee bar to transform into a Nacho Bar. My mom made some nacho cheese sauce that she found from a wonderful youtube video. I loved using nacho holders that I got from Amazon, as it made it feel more authentic. Since we had hot dogs as well , we had two buckets for ketchup and mustard. I used a plastic picnic table cloth to cut up and double tape inside the buckets so they would look cute and feel clean. I also used a red and white ribbon to attach to the end of the burlap runner since it did not quite cover the entire area.

OUTFITS
I thought it would be fun to keep up with the baseball theme by having our “uniforms.” I got our T-shirts from my sister-in-law who owns a shop that speciliazes in that kind of stuff. I found Ryder’s pants on Etsy and his shoes were a gift but they are from BuyBuy Baby. He looked absolutely adorable in his pin stripe pants, I couldn’t handle it!

CAKE SMASH
For the cake smash I just grabbed pieces from our main cake and his response was too funny! He didn’t know too much what to think about it. Overall, it was one of the sweetest parts for me watching him eat his cake and just sit back and reflect on the fact that he’s a big 1 year old.

GAMES
I got the potato sack game from Hobby Lobby and unfortunately the day was cold and rainy, so we just did it inside instead! This went along with the “vintage” theme of the party. We played along with my niece and Nephew.
EXTRA DETAILS
Even though he was so little and “won’t remember” . it was so fun watching his face light up at all the balloons and colors. He was into all his gifts and soaked up all the attention. After everyone left and he took a big nap, he woke up and played the rest of the evening with all his new toys. It’s a day that I will treasure in my heart forever.

I am so excited to see where this blog is going and I want to thank each and every person that has reached out supporting this little space on the internet.
