As I was looking through my closet trying to figure out what to wear for our family Thanksgiving, I thought why not share on the blog some outfit ideas?! These are are all basic pieces that most likely you already have laying around in your closet. I am linking everything in the post, but of course, I hope at the very least this sparks some fresh ideas when rummaging through the closet on pieces to pair together!
Since Thanksgiving is just around the corner and time was ticking to get this content out, I hope you enjoy my impromptu photoshoot in our spare room. Alright let’s get started!
1. Corduroy Skirt + White Tied up Sweater
Skirt // Sweater // Headband // Boots
If the weather where you live is anything like my state of Texas, then a skirt isn’t out of question! This color skirt is great cause it can be paired with black, light weight sweater, heavy sweater, etc. I linked several different sources for skirts since they seem to be in high demand and out of some sizes on certain websites. This would also be great with some black booties and a black headband to make it more “fall”!

2. Fall Floral Dress + Booties
This is another great idea if the weather is on the sunnier side with a cool breeze. I LOVE this fall dress from Target, however, I will warn you that this is actually a “girls” dress that I ordered in a size XL, it fits great! If ordering a couple sizes up in the girls section isn’t your thing, then I added some fall dress ideas that I also think are cute!

3. Black Ruffle Sleeve Top + Knee High Boots
I think this may be my favorite look, even though it is all black, and I usually lean more towards neutrals. I LOVE these boots from Target, my mom got them for me for my birthday! Since I got this top at Marshall’s, I went ahead and linked some similar ones. Lastly, I feel like I can pretty much put this belt with anything, especially during fall, and it really makes the outfit look more “put together.” This would also be a great Christmas outfit!

4. Turtleneck Sweater + Taupe Knee High Boots
Headband // Sweater // Jeans // Boots
As you can see, I have these boots in black and taupe, my husband got me this taupe pair for my birthday (yes my hubs and my mom got me all fixed up!). Taupe Knee high boots are a great “staple” item to have for fall. I wore a similar outfit to this 2 years ago and I find that it’s so timeless!

5. Cable Knit Sweater + Cropped Jeans
This is the first year I subscribed to the loose bottom jeans “crop” look. I have always been a skinny jeans or mom jeans girl, but hey why not try something new? I love pairing some cropped jeans with booties and a cable knit sweater. I provided a couple different options for jeans since these are thrifted! This still had enough material to tuck in but still cropped to where it looked fitting. I will most likely where this outfit, or something close to it, for the big day:)

6. Camel Suede Skirt + Black Long Sleeve + Black Booties
I love pairing this skirt with ANY top during fall, T-shirts, sweaters, light long sleeves. Pairing black booties with a camel color is the perfect combination for any fall occasion. From the black bodysuit to the camel skirt, these are very basic pieces that you can mix and match with lots of different outfits!
